Proxmox VPS hosting in France, wired into your network

Your VMs run in our racks at Equinix Paris. They can be connected to your offices by a private link: dedicated VLAN, private addressing, no transit over the public Internet. RDEM Systems runs its own network — AS206014, BGP routing — and stands behind the whole chain, from the server to the circuit.

This is neither a VPS at the end of the Internet nor public cloud: it is private infrastructure, hosted in France, with PBS backups replicated across two sites and managed services available as an option.

The infrastructure is ours, the network stays yours

RDEM Systems is a network operator: AS206014, BGP routing, presence at Equinix Paris. The core network and the transit are ours. For the last mile to your offices we order the circuit from a local loop carrier, integrate it into our network and remain accountable for it to you. You sign one contract, not three.

    1. 1

      Your machines in the datacentre

VMs from the table below, or your own servers hosted in our racks at Equinix Paris. Volume and rate for physical hosting are set in the quote. The sites, power and interconnection of our network (in French).

    2. 2

      A dedicated VLAN

Private addressing, yours. No transit over the public Internet, nothing exposed by default.

    3. 3

      Fibre to your offices

We order the FTTO circuit, track its delivery and connect it to our network. The contract and the support stay with us: there is no parallel telco project for you to run. The circuit is a separate line from the table below, quoted after we qualify your address. The fiber link: how we order it and answer for it.

    4. 4

      Operations, if you want them

Monitoring, maintenance and on-call through managed Proxmox. One contact for the server, the link and the operations.

What you need on your side

    • Premises and a point to land the circuit — we handle the rest
    • A free port on your switch or router to land the VLAN
    • A private addressing plan — usually yours, carried over unchanged

    Lead time

    • We first qualify whether your address is eligible
    • The delivery lead time for the circuit is then committed in the quote
    • Once the circuit is live, configuration on our side takes a few hours

    What it changes in practice

    • Your VMs are a LAN resource, not a service exposed on the Internet
    • Your filtering rules and your directory apply without rewriting
    • A VPN stays available as an option for remote users

Coming off a VMware estate? Connectivity is decided during the scoping phase of the VMware to Proxmox migration engagement.

    Frequently Asked Questions

Yes, each VPS includes a daily backup on our Double Drive PBS (Proxmox Backup Server) infrastructure, with replication across two geographically separate sites. For enhanced security needs (ransomware protection), Air Gapped PBS options are available as an add-on.

We have a fibre circuit delivered to your offices and carry a dedicated VLAN over it from our equipment at Equinix Paris, on a layer-2 link. Your VMs answer on private addresses, inside your own addressing plan, without passing through the public Internet. The circuit is ordered, tracked and supported by RDEM Systems: you have no telco contract to sign on your side. On your side you need a point to land the circuit and a free port on your switch or router.

Not you. The FTTO circuit is part of the service: we qualify whether your address is eligible, we order the circuit from the local loop carrier, track its delivery and connect it to our network. We remain your single point of contact, including when the fault is on the fibre — you never have to arbitrate between your host and your carrier. That is what separates this from standard hosting, where the provider stops at the datacentre door. Bandwidth, lead time and rate are set in the quote after qualification.

Yes. Your machines sit in our racks at Equinix Paris and connect to the same private link as the VMs — a common setup for a mixed estate where some workloads stay on dedicated hardware. Volume and rate for physical hosting are set in the quote. Operations can be handed to RDEM under managed services. If you have not yet settled on an in-house server room or a datacenter, we compare what each really costs.

Not from your premises: with the private link, the VMs are reachable like any other machine on the internal network. A VPN remains available as an option for remote users and for secondary sites that do not justify a dedicated circuit. Without a private link, access is either through VPN or by exposing the chosen services on the Internet.

The VM is always yours alone, with your VLANs and your addressing. On vCPU and RAM, two regimes coexist: the VPS Small runs on shared resources, suited to development, testing and lightweight services; from the VPS Medium up, the advertised vCPU, RAM and storage are reserved for you.

A VPS is a virtual machine on our infrastructure, hosted in our racks and connectable to your network. The managed dedicated cluster is for businesses that own or wish to purchase their own hardware: we manage the entire Proxmox infrastructure (installation, monitoring, maintenance, backup) on your servers, at €150 excl. VAT/month per hypervisor.

Yes, that is the most common case. The migration is an engagement in its own right: a free audit of your vSphere estate, a costed plan, batch cutover and rollback until sign-off. The VMware to Proxmox migration page details the scope, the method and typical durations by fleet size.

Our VPS are hosted in Equinix Paris datacenters on our own network (AS206014). Storage relies on NVMe SSDs with replicated Ceph for high availability. Each VPS has a minimum 1 Gbps network connection with redundant internet transit.

Yes, network traffic is unlimited and included with all our VPS, at no extra cost and no hidden fair-use policy. We don't bill for bandwidth. For very intensive usage (CDN, streaming), we provide a custom quote.

Yes, upgrades are possible at any time without service interruption. You can increase vCPUs, RAM and storage. The new rate applies pro-rata from the effective date. Downgrades are also possible at the end of the billing period.
