    What stays with you

    • The inside of the VMs: guest systems, applications, databases

    • The hardware, if the cluster is yours — we operate it, you own it

    System administration inside the VMs is a separate contract: managed services beyond the hypervisor cover guest operating systems, middleware and applications. The two are subscribed separately and stack.

    What the response-time commitment covers, and what it does not. It covers picking up the incident, not restoring service. Until the diagnosis is done, nobody can honestly promise a repair time: we sell neither a restoration SLA (GTR) nor an RTO, and 1 hour is the strongest response-time commitment we sell.

    An operational measurement, not a commitment. In practice, 80% of our interventions are picked up in under 15 minutes. That is a measurement of how we operate, not a promise: what the contract carries is the response times above.

    On your site, or on ours behind a private link

    Managed services apply to both. What changes is where the cluster runs and how your users reach it. If the choice between keeping an in-house server room and moving to a datacenter is still open, we have costed both sides: cooling, UPS, on-call duty.

    Your cluster, on your premises

    The cluster runs on your hardware, on your premises or in your datacentre. We operate it remotely, over a dedicated administration link.

    This is the usual case for companies that have already invested in their servers and only want the operations off their hands.

    Our cluster, wired to your offices

    The cluster sits in our racks at Equinix Paris, and a private L2L link we provide carries your VLAN to your premises: private addressing, dedicated VMs, no transit over the public Internet. The fibre circuit is ordered and held by RDEM.

    RDEM Systems runs its own network — AS206014, BGP routing, the services hosted on that network (in French) — and stands behind the circuit for you; the detail of our datacentre infrastructure covers the sites, the power and the interconnection. Hosting rates are on the pricing page ; the private circuit is quoted separately.

    If the estate still has to come off VMware, that cutover is the VMware to Proxmox migration engagement — managed services take over at sign-off.

    RDEM Systems is a French company operating its own network infrastructure in France, at Equinix Paris. Only backups are geo-replicated to a second site in Germany — the distance between sites is exactly what makes geo-replication worth having — hosted by a French provider, under French law and EU jurisdiction.

We operate our own network (AS206014) with servers hosted in Equinix datacenters in the Paris region. One exception: geo-replicated backups sit on a second site in Germany, run by a French provider — the distance between sites is what makes geo-replication worth having.     AS206014 is our Autonomous System number, attesting that RDEM Systems is a recognized independent network operator. We don't depend on a third-party host: we control the entire technical chain, from BGP routing to physical servers. This independence guarantees total sovereignty over your infrastructure, without any American intermediary.
